At St. John’s Cathedral, the Youth Ministry encompasses grades 7th-12th. We consider the youth to be a vital part of our congregation, with us in worship and invited and encouraged to use their gifts for ministry. Youth sing in our choir, serve as acolytes, do grounds projects, run our coffee cart, and lead parts of our worship services.

Sunday School
Sundays, 9:15-10:15am, September - June, Youth Room

Youth gather for Scripture Study and pastries on Sunday mornings, discussing life in and out of school (a wide variety of schools from all over the city are represented) and learning what it means to follow Christ in day-to-day life. Once a month there is an outing or service opportunity and a couple of times a year there are lock-ins/retreats at the Cathedral or elsewhere around the diocese. Colin Haffner and Evan Olson lead our student ministry. Email youth@stjohns-cathedral.org for more information

Youth Group
Sundays, 6:00pm, Youth Room

Come and hang out in a casual living room set up for a night of meals, worship, games, and biblical reflection. Friendships will be made and love of Chirst fostered. Email youth@stjohns-cathedral.org for more information.

Coffee Cart

St. John’s Java offers espresso drinks made from fair trade, locally roasted beans, and a wide variety of other beverages. High schoolers greet customers, make the drinks, and offer up hospitality.

Camp Cross

Camp Cross is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane and multiple opportunities for youth each summer. Located on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Camp Cross is a place of scenic natural beauty where we emphasize the values that Christ teaches us of relationships, prayer, discipleship, and service, while enjoying hiking, boating, swimming, campfire songs, and more! Visit the website for more info.

Youth Sundays

Twice a year youth take a special leadership role in our worship at a youth-lead worship service in the fall and a joyful, walk-on Christmas pageant during Advent or Epiphany.
