As a parish of the Episcopal Church, St. John's uses the Book of Common prayer to guide our worship. With an emphasis on scripture and steeped in the oldest Christian traditions of prayer, the Book of Common Prayer binds us together in the worship of God with churches of Anglican heritage throughout the world and throughout the ages.
In Holy Eucharist, the primary service on Sundays and Saturdays, our community finds its identity around the altar table. We remember the one sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus and the bestowal of new life in Him by partaking of one bread and one chalice as He taught us to do in His name. In this sacramental celebration, we give thanks, receiving grace and renewing our baptism.
