Young Adult News As some of you may know, St. John’s has played host to the Spokane-area Young Adult Ministry (YAM) group since the fall of 2005. This past fall, the YAM group decided to make public worship part of its weekly gathering and so created the ‘Sundays @ 7 concept at Holy Trinity Church – providing for weekly prayer, scripture, and communion. The experience of weekly public worship, in addition to our Tuesday lunch and Bible reflections and Wednesday afternoon coffees, has been a nice structure into which to invite new young adults while at the same time nourishing the current group.
The Sundays @ 7 service is held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church – 1832 W. Dean Avenue – where Fr. Paul has been assigned to serve as vicar. Holy Trinity is looking at new and creative ways to engage in ministry in the West Central neighborhood. The infusion of the YAM group’s energy and giftedness is intended to support and strengthen Holy Trinity’s mission and ministry in the months ahead, as we all seek together to discover who Holy Trinity has been called to be and what Holy Trinity has been called to do.
